The biometric data gathered in the iNSPIRE Sport app was conveyed to coaches in a weekly report produced in Google Data Studio. Feedback from coaches indicated that the information wasn’t sufficient - they wanted to be able to configure and explore the data themselves to find answers. There were also numerous requests for the ability to communicate and send information to athletes, as well as schedule events for- and keep track of the athletes’ calendars.
Ad-hoc feedback was collated from a range of users of the coach side of the platform, before being put into a rapid group-design activity. User testing the early results of this allowed us to quickly identify a system that made sense to coaches,A as well as the very minimum “must-haves” in the system.
Being able to (very) quickly deploy the coach features as a webapp contributed to growth in B2B sales and allowed us to gain valuable insight into the validity of the product value hypothesis. Moving so quickly from concept to release turned over information that we would never have gained through focus groups or pre-release user testing, and paved the way to a more rounded, well considered subsequent release.
